Dillon Francis Previews First Official DJ Hanzel Release

If you've been lucky enough to catch Dillon Francis on his headlining tours over the last year and a half, chances are you've seen his snoody German techno alter-ego DJ Hanzel in action. What began as one of Dillon Francis' silly internet antics, DJ Hanzel has become an official act, serving as an opener on many of Dillon's live shows, as well as on events like the Mad Decent Block Party. DJ Hanzel has even had his own 'One Deeper' (a reference to the character's signature phrase that expresses the sentiment of his techno/deep house sounds) Mix on Annie Nightengale's BBC Radio 1 show.

Now, Dillon is taking his beloved character to the next level with the first official DJ Hanzel release. Dillon Francis and Los Angeles-based producer Drezo gave the crowd at Skrillex and Diplo's #24HoursofJackU party a listen to the track during their special guest b2b set. The small sample of the track shows that DJ Hanzel will truly be going one deeper with this release, bringing a dark, industrial-sounding production, similar to the sounds of one of DJ Hanzel's biggest inspirations, Gesaffelstein.
