Sound designer Diego Stocco is known for his eclectic compositions and experimental techniques. His latest video showcases what is a custom built orchestra, which allows a single individual to harness the musical abilities of an orchestra or a band. The handcrafted instruments were created from materials purchased in a hardware store and parts from instruments with structural damage. Each of the items has features of cross-breeding instruments: the experiviolin (body of a violin, neck of an electric guitar, acoustic guitar strings); expericello; experibass (violin, viola, and a cello neck); the luminopiano (a different note created based on the shape and size of the filament in light bulbs); and the textural flute (a penny whistle, plastic pipes, and trombone bell) among others.
