Claptone vs. Crookers – Elektro Clash
In last week's Elektro Clash, acclaimed up and coming producer Golden Features and his new single "No One" was taken down by fellow masked producer Claptone's "Dear Life." Now, the golden-billed mysterious producer takes on Crookers single, "I Just Can't."
The release of "Dear Life" followed Claptone's acclaimed BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix, a Beatport chart-topping smash remix of Gregory Porter and an incredible live show at the Miami Ultra Music Festival. Teaming up with French vocalist Jaw (who is part of the production trio dOP), “Dear Life” is a pure house masterpiece, complete with deep rolling basslines and classic piano progressions that mesh beautifully with the heartfelt vocal portions, while showcasing Claptone’s brilliant production skills.
Featured on Crookers' new album Sixteen Chapel is the track “I Just Can’t” alongside popular hip-hop artist Jeremih. Its addicting, manic electro sound warrants replay after replay, and has garnered support from the likes of Jack Ü, Oliver Heldens, Martin Garrix, Pete Tong, Laidback Luke, Annie Mac, SBCR aka the Bloody Beetroots and label head Steve Aoki. Purchase the Sixteen Chapel LP on iTunes via Dim Mak Records.

Fans can vote once per hour for their favorite song. If a song remains the reigning champ for five straight Clashes, it is retired to the Elektro Clash Hall of Fame. With so many great tracks out there, we have to give other artists a chance!
