Capital Cities is a self-described electro-pop group composed of two vocalists, a guitarist, bassist, and trumpeter. Sharing the stage with acts like Chromeo, The Killers, and The Knocks, Capital Cities clearly straddle the boundary between two very different genres of music. Furthering their descent in to electro, New Jersey trio Cash Cash has given Capital Cities 2011 chart climber, “Safe And Sound,” a much-needed revamp. The progressive elements added in by Cash Cash transform this track from light club jam to festival anthem. Peaking with the sound of a glorious trumpet shining through a thick bass line, Cash Cash’s remix of “Safe And Sound,” is a much appreciated reboot of an easy going electro track.
