The release of Calvin Harris' single, "Sweet Nothing" featuring Florence + the Machine vocalist, Florence Welch, has arrived. Aside from the single itself, the release also features massive remixes from Tiësto, Dirtyloud, Burns, and Qulinez. Tiësto's remix is an example of the transformation he has made throughout his incredibly impressive career, reinventing himself from a trance superstar to a house idol. Regardless of genre, however, Tiesto has always been a master of rave music. His "Sweet Nothing" remix mends powerful, melodic synth with bassey electro-house breakdowns. It's the perfect formula for a crowd pleaser, and something that Tiesto has made a habit of over the years. Brazilian producer duo, Dirtyloud, bring their dubstep stylings to the Calvin Harris track by supplying brutal drops, but remaining true to the powerful, uplifting melodies of "Sweet Nothing". Burns' reworking gives a totally new sound to the track, slowing down the tempo, and creating an ambient sound that places emphasis on the percussion, while adding echoey vocal cuts and electronic effects. Qulinez takes the electro-house route with his remix, giving the track an energetic sound supplied by its melodic big room synth progressions that blend with siren effects. This remix would never be out of place at any of the world's biggest dance clubs and festivals. Calvin Harris' "Sweet Nothing" is available now.
