So where exactly in NYC are you from?

I’m from the upper west side.

What’re your favorite places to chill at in the city?

My favorite place to chill right now is my roof in Brooklyn in Bushwick. My favorite place to eat right now is Banh Mi over on Broome Street.

I learned that you were a drummer, have you ever been in the studio throwing down a live session for any of your original mixes?

I actually haven’t which is fucked up but I will shortly. I have plans to definitely. Cause I’m a drummer…and it definitely comes out in my music. But I haven’t sat down with an actual kit and recorded…and I should

You're set to play EDC Las Vegas. Is it safe to say this is the biggest set of your life?

Probably. I think this is pretty big (Webster hall show). I’m sharing a marquis with Skrillex and I’ve been anxious as fuck all day. Which means something.

What do you do when preparing for such a huge set like this? Opening up for Skrillex or throwing down at Vegas?

I definitely made my set a little harder… you know its similar preparation it’s just a bit more nerves.

You still get the nerves?

I’m happy I still get the nerves. If I stop getting the nerves than something is wrong. I’m Jaded. Shit I’m nervous as fuck. The second I get on stage though it all disappears.

But this isn’t your first or even second time playing at this venue…

And I’ve played big shows ya know? But this is gonna be my biggest New York show ever.

I saw a tweet recently that said ‘grinding on that new’ and I also saw that you were working on an R&B side project. I was wondering if we can get any insight on that?

New music will be coming out next week [Truth]. And the R&B stuff is still developing. It’s a fun process and I have a bunch of different projects in the work and that is definitely one of them. True Story.

Are you planning your own stand alone tour this year?

I just got my off a co-headlining tour with Girrafage. I don’t I think probably in the fall I hope to be like support, direct support, a big tour. I wanna play big rooms, I will eventually but I don’t have that pull necessarily yet, but I feel like I can do really well in the second slot as opposed to the opener. That’s realistic.

Which artists would you kill to work with?

I said Erykah Badu in the last interview. In the electronic world LOUDPVCK, Disclosure, I think Tchami and I could do some crazy shit. I think me and some of these current housecats could…make some really dope original work.
