Aphex Twin at The Met

Paying homage to one of electronic music’s most influential fore fathers, a flash mob preformed at the Met to Aphex Twin’s “Cliffs.” As the eerily haunting violin rendition plays out, participants fall into a literal dream like state as they lay silently on the floor. A beautiful reminder to the diversity of Aphex Twin’s production, this flash mob fuses performance art and music in a elevated thought provoking manner. For those unfamiliar with Aphex Twin “Come To Daddy,” and “Windowlicker,” are some of his most famous productions. He also served as a valuable mentor to Skrillex in Sonny’s early days as a producer.
