If there is a song for the summer of 2012, it is most certainly Zedd and Matthew Koma’s "Spectrum". And so, the day has finally come – the much anticipated "Spectrum" EP has officially arrived. Feeling very much like a kid on Christmas morning, I couldn't wait to check it out in full. Of course it's unbelievable and I will be listening to it all day long. While I love the original track, every single remix on this EP can and will set fire to the rain, featuring a "spectrum" of varying sounds, (as a bundle of great remixes should), while still doing the original track justice. With remixes from top of the line producers: from A-Trak to Arty, Armin Van Buuren to Clockwork, Deniz Koyu, Congorock, Tristan Garner, and even newer names like Monsta and Gregori Klosman – this remix package is not one to pass up. Armin's leading mix fuses his euphoric trance melodies with the pristine structure of the original track. The Clockwork/A-Trak remix (which has become my personal favorite) is now being rivaled in my mind by Gregori Klosman’s strong house remix with its catchy melody and huge build up that you can look forward to hearing in sets to come. On the other hand, Deniz Koyu offers his electro-stylings for a dark and explosive take on the original. Arty's fantastic remix is pure bliss, making you feel like nothing matters except the present, showcasing just how talented the young producer really is. We hope you are as stoked for this release as we are at elektro. Get it now on iTunes or Beatport.
