After another landmark year, Skrillex remains the standard bearer for the massive electronic music movement, emerging with three nominations for the annual Grammy Awards Ceremony in Los Angeles. The nods for Best Dance Recording and Best Dance/Electronica Album are in reference to the "Bangarang" EP that dropped last December on his own OWSLA/Big Beat imprint. The video for the lead single/title track being nominated for Best Dance Recording, "Bangarang ft. Sirah", has received over 88 million views in less than a year. The third nomination is for his work with Nero on the remix of their monumental tune, "Promises". Additionally, Sonny Moore's 2012 is capped off with the momentous announcement that "Scary Monsters And Nice Sprites" is now a certified platinum single in the US, and 3 tracks off of "More Monsters And Sprites" and "Bangarang" are certified gold- "First Of The Year (Equinox)", "Bangarang", and "Kyoto". Finally, as a thanks to his most loyal fans, Skrillex is repackaging his works to date in a vinyl box set that includes his three groundbreaking EPs, "Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites," "More Monsters and Sprites," and "Bangarang." The EPs, housed in a custom-made hard-shell acrylic case adorned with a die cut Skrillex logo on the front, contain 18 tracks. For superb quality in sound, each EP is pressed on heavyweight 180-gram audiophile vinyl. The sets also include a unique PIN card that allows downloads of all the tracks plus seven bonus remixes by the likes of Kaskade, Phonat, and Zedd, not included on the vinyl.
