At last night's Takeover Show at Brooklyn Bowl in New York, Skrillex premiered his forthcoming collaboration with hip-hop stars Chance The Rapper and Mike Will Made It. There has been much speculation on this collaboration after a shot of the three in the studio together was uploaded to Mike Will's Instagram.

As the sneak peek of the track in the video above shows, this is a Skrillex production of a type we're not used to from the artist. While he has produced across a variety of genres, Skrillex has presented his most mellow production, seemingly morphing his sound to match the styles of Chance The Rapper and Mike Will Made It.

In an interview with our sister publication, XXL, Skrillex explained, “I was working on the Bangarang EP, and he had just showed me [Rihanna's] ‘Pour It Up‘ [with] a demo vocal on it, unmixed, and some of the Future joints that have been coming out,” Skrillex said via phone. “And he was just like, ‘What the fuck is this sound?’ And I was in his room like, ‘What the fuck is this sound?’ It was appreciation for each other, and it was just natural. I didn’t really know much about who Mike WiLL was other than some of that shit, and then I realized he was a self-made kid. He just had his whole crew with the Eardrummas, and created this whole collective of musicians that he grew up with. And it’s the same story we have with OWSLA my record label. We were just friends playing together. Now we’re more successful and touring, but it’s always been the same process—hang together, make records together and collaborate together.”

This preview certainly has fans of both dance music and hip-hop excited. What's more is in the same XXL interview, Skrillex explains that there are many productions with other artists in the works, stating, "whether they come out tomorrow or a year from now, there’s definitely a lot of bullets in the chamber.” Who knows what road Skrillex will go down next? We'll have to wait and see.
