Skrillex, Diplo and Justin Bieber Sit Down with the New York Times to Talk ‘Where Are U Now’

Skrillex and Diplo collaboration with Justin Bieber, “Where Are U Now,” has rightfully been deemed as “the song of the summer,” dominating airwaves in both the dance music and pop music worlds. Now, they have sat down with the New York Times to discuss the origins and creation of what has become the most well-known and widely remixed track not just from the Jack U album, Skrillex and Diplo Present Jack U, but in the electronic music scene as a whole. Amongst the factoids in this interesting eight-minute video are how Jack U first linked up with Bieber, as well as the production methods to create the different sounds and effects in the song itself. Check out a preview of the New York Times’ feature “Justin Bieber, Diplo and Skrillex Make A Hit Song” above, and check out the full video at the New York Times.
