Doperoot's very own Lenny Emery collaborated with 4AM's DJ Phresh to turn Sarah Charness & The Discokillerz shimmering pop anthem "Grip" into a deep, tropical, floor-smasher. The tune originally features vocals from Naughty Boy's Vocalist Jem Cooke and strings from Sony's violinist Sarah Charness, but with Lenny and Phresh's mix, you can feel the deep bass inspired by Lenny's recent European Tour and housey piano-stabs inspired by Phresh's DJ gigs all over the states.

DJ Phresh is a New York club-treasure, song selector to the likes of Kim Kardashian (http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/music-arts/hours-djs-4-new-york-city-sleeps-article-1.997265 ) and globe-trotter. His Capital Cities remix got him written up as an "electro-happy record spinner" by NBC. See his DJ set recaps on his website: http://www.djphresh.com/

Lenny's also a 27-year-old director, whose sold his short film to Ed Norton & New Line Media and directed commercials under Revenant-producer Brett Ratner. From supporting Usher on his URX Tour to spinning the afterparties of generation-defining brands brands such as Snapchat, Facebook and Channel, Lenny has carved a lane uniquely his own. He's released music on Lyor Cohen's Atlantic Records imprint 300 Entertainment and his films have accrued over 50 awards internationally.
