Quickie with a DJ: Kur

If you could have one superhero power, what would it be? I would definitely want to be able to shape shift. Then I could eat whatever I wanted and look like Channing Tatum.

First job you ever had? Internship at a recording studio in Jacksonville, Florida called A1A Audio Productions.

Favorite candy / snack? I love oreos, I think that kinda counts as both a candy and a snack.

What do you drive? Lexus IS 250.

What kind of watch do you wear? Nooka ZUB ZOT 38.

Favorite Sneakers? I absolutely love my Radii Straight Jacket VLC’s, however, pretty much any good looking/comfortable high tops work for me.

If you had one night left to live, how would you spend it? I would eat a lot of unhealthy food and spend time with my best friends.

What song do you sing in the shower? What Makes You Beautiful by One Direction.

Favorite video game? Portal 2.

What can't leave home without? My iPod.

First DJ you ever saw live? Where? I’m not really sure who the first DJ I saw was. I went to EDC at Orlando in 2011, whoever was playing at the bass pod stage when I got there was the first DJ I saw but I didn’t know who they were. It was the first electronic music event I’ve ever been to. I went mainly to see Skrillex but had an awesome time through the whole experience.

First album you bought? My first electronic album was Infected Mushroom’s IM The Supervisor which really made me fall in love with EDM music. My first album ever was the Distillers’ Sing Sing Death House. At least that’s the first album I remember getting really into.

If you had to have eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be? Peanut Butter.

When you get good news, who is the first person you tell it to? My best friend, Taylor.

Favorite TV show? Daily Show/Colbert Report.

What’s on your computer wallpaper? Brony & Skrillex Stuff.

What’s the best advice you ever got? From who? My old vocal coach, Ron Feldman, used to tell me that “It’s a show me business and that you need to look as good as you sound and sound as good as you look.” I think that when you’re entering the music business, that’s the best advice anyone can give you because it continually proves itself to be true.

Celebrity crush? Kim Kardashian, hands down.

Favorite piece of DJ equipment? Why? Traktor Kontrol S4. I’ve used turntables and other controllers but the S4 is the only thing I’ve actually owned. It makes since to me. Its super easy to use and extremely portable.
