Quickie with a DJ: Butch Clancy

Favorite drink? Alcohol? Virgin? My favorite alcoholic drink is Grey Goose & Redbull, even though it's got me in trouble a couple times, haha. Virgin? Coco Cafe.

If you could have one superhero power, what would it be? Probably the ability to fly. I think that would be the most fun, maybe not the most useful, but definitely the most fun.

Favorite candy / snack? My favorite candy is without a doubt Mambas. I'm not sure if everyone knows about these, but they are like Starburst except a hundred times better. They're amazing. Snack would probably be hummus. I don't think I could ever get sick of hummus and pita.

What do you drive? No car. I had a car and it got stolen from my driveway about a month ago, haha. That's Detroit for you. I don't really need one right now since I am usually working on music when I am home. The only time I drive is to the airport, so now I just take a Metrocar.

What kind of watch do you wear? Not a big fan of wearing watches, but if I did have one, it would be a Breitling. I think eventually I will spoil myself and buy one.

Favorite Sneakers? This is a hard one... I love shoes. Probably the wolf grey/pure platinum Yeezy 2s if I had to choose just one pair.

If you had one night left to live, how would you spend it? If it was up to me, I'd be playing a show. Don't really care where, I would just want to be playing my music for people. I'd also make sure my family and friends are there, since it would be my last night alive haha.

What song do you sing in the shower? I'm an awful singer, so I try to never sing loud enough for people to hear. But, probably some Wendy Rene; I'm a huge fan of old soul music.

Favorite video game? Guitar Hero 3.

What can’t leave home without? Cell phone.

First DJ you ever saw live? Where? I think it was Bad Boy Bill over 10 years ago at Motor in Detroit.

Most embarrassing performance moment? Hmmm..... Not really too many real embarrassing moments, just little things that happen to everyone like messing up a transition. The crowd usually doesn't notice things like that, but you know it happened. You just can't beat yourself up over it. Luckily I've never said the wrong city or anything like that, haha, I think that would be horrible.

Are you superstitious? About? Not really, but I do like to get to a venue at least an hour early and when I don't get there with at least an hour until my set, I feel like something isn't right. I think it's just a comfort thing, knowing I'm that close to the stage and all I have to do is walk up when it's my time to play.

First album you bought? It's been so long, but I think it was a Biggie album.

If you had to have eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be? Probably my Mom's chicken noodle soup. It's amazing.

What’s on your computer wallpaper? The basic Mac galaxy wallpaper that comes with all Macs.

Favorite piece of DJ equipment? Why? Right now I'd probably say my APC40. You can do a lot with it and it's fun to use live. I think I'm gonna get a MIDI Fighter next, so I might change my mind after I have that, haha.

Hug? I'm not sure if I should be picking a guy or a girl for this question, but I guess Bassnectar because he was the first big DJ to talk to me, and it wasn't me hounding him because I wanted something. He contacted me just to tell me he liked my stuff, which I thought was awesome. He didn't have to do that, he's just an amazing person.

Party With? Definitely Datsik, haha. I hear he's a really fun dude.

DJ alongside live? This one is really hard because there are so many DJs I look up to and love as artists, but I think I'd have to go with SkisM, mainly so I could watch him up close and learn things.
