Derek Vincent Smith, better known by his moniker Pretty Lights, has long been on the quest to find the perfect arena to host a proper Pretty Lights live concert. Due to its seclusion from city life and picturesque mountain scenery, Colorado's Telluride Town Park has been selected as the camping grounds and concert venue for a two-day event that he has just announced will be taking place on August 28 and 29.

Two-day GA and VIP passes go on sale today at 10AM MST from Pretty Lights' direct-to-fan pre-sale on the official Pretty Lights website. Fans can also purchase camping and travel experiences which will be provided by CID Entertainment. One week from today February 27), tickets will go on sale to the public at the same time (10AM MST) and can also be purchased on the official Pretty Lights website.

The special two-day outdoor show is a step for Pretty Lights into crafting what appears to be his own festival experience. After selling out the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado five years in a row, this seems like the next step in Pretty Lights' progression. The second night of his Red Rocks show was hailed by Hey Reverb as “exactly the kind of visual and aural spectacle that sets Pretty Lights apart in the live music milieu... a milestone show.” The strong claims regarding Pretty Lights' shows are backed up by his constant selling out of arenas and coliseums.

Currently, Derek is in the studio crafting the follow up to his 2013 release A Color Map of the Sun, which received a nomination for Best Dance/Electronica Album at 2014's 56th GRAMMYs.
