Is Porter Robinson the new resident badass of EDM? This past weekend as he headlined the Matador Music Festival in Santa Barbara, California, Porter was only a few minutes into his set before the police showed up to shut him down. In response, Porter addressed the crowd and told them “Language” would be his last track because the police were shutting him down. At this time the police cut the power mid-song and attempted to arrest porter for “inciting a riot," while also threatening to confiscate his equipment as evidence. Luckily escaping without handcuffs, Porter took a bold stance to perform for his fans that purchased tickets to see him. Allegedly, cops arrived due to noise complaints from neighbors. Someone please explain how “Unison” could ever be played too loud. Check out Porter's tweets regarding the situation above.
