The folks at Pioneer have revamped their DDJ-WeGO to bring aspiring DJs from out of their bedroom and on their way to more advanced mixing. As an effort to break the barrier to entry, the DDJ-WeGO2 builds on the original’s tenants of fun, simplicity and advanced functionality. It comes with an iPhone/iPad cable for quick connectivity as well as smooth access to the now compatible “djay 2” app from Algoriddim. Other intuitive features include Jog FX for effect controls and combination, pulse control for visual cues, and sick software courtesy of the included “Virtual DJ Limited Edition” of Atomix Productions for Windows and Mac. The compact size and weight (less than four pounds without its new stand) makes Pioneer’s DDJ-WeGO2 the ideal starter controller for novice yet eager young talents. Priced at a reasonable $429 and slated for an October release, you’ll want to get your hands dirty with this one. Check out the DDJ-WeGO2 in action below!
