Elektro is always on the lookout for up-and-coming artists who bring different and innovative sounds to electronic dance music.

This is no easy feat. Coming across these artists, requires hours having to rummage through what seems to be an endless supply of new music being released on a daily basis (OK OK, so it's actually pretty awesome).

Cue Diplo’s Mad Decent label, which created the Jeffree imprint in December 2011, to showcase genuinely fresh artists, releasing a single every other Thursday. This approach is in contrast to many other entities who label an artist up-and-coming after the artist has already gained enough attention (the tech-driven environment has sped this process up significantly) to the point where they are over exposed.

The most recent release is from Stolkholm based artist Phat Deuce. Phat Deuce’s graphic (see above) is comically self-explanatory. Two tracks are introduced - “Bubble Di Sistem” and “Gangsta” - both of which introduce high quality, groovy vibes. “Bubble Di Sistem” is more of a hype track laid with drum-like jungle rhythms, high energy, and bubbly sounds. There are also moments of indiscernible, yet somehow catchy vocals in the background. “Gangsta” features similarly high energy sounds with frenzied synths and more of a fine-tuned sound.

A free download of both tracks is available via Mediafire.

Visit Jeffree’s website for past (and future) releases. Additionally, Phat Deuce frequently releases new tracks which you can download via his Soundcloud page.
