Nike’s Air Current, first released by the company in 1989, is seeing a renaissance this summer with the re-release of the shoe in a trio of designs, two of which resemble the original style with their predominantly black upper and neoprene toe. The shoe’s body has fluorescent color blocking and accents, minimal branding (no swooshes) and a trio of lace eyelets. Twenty years after their original debut, the Current is looking, well, more current than ever.
