Underground fans rejoice! Detroit’s annual Movement Electronic Music Festival has just announced some updates that promise to make this year’s event better than ever. Red Bull Music Academy will be taking main stage this year to bring us techno pioneers Derrick May, Kevin Saunderson, and Richie Hawtin. In addition to the legends, fans can look forward to experiencing the best and brightest in emerging talent, encompassing names such as Adult, Mala, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Nicolas Jaar, and academy graduates Onra, T. Williams, and Nick Hook (among many others). Beatport has also announced the lineup for its stage in the festival, and we are excited to see Moby, Johnny Digweed, Kenny Dope, and Louie Vega on the list. Finally, this year’s Movement welcomes Electric Forest to the list of stage sponsors, bringing us Gramatik, Griz, the M Machine, Andy C, Brodinski, and Big Gigantic.
