The first time I saw Mord Fustang live was at Ultra Music Festival 2012, and then again one night in Gainesville where he played for a crowd of neon-frat-tank-clad college students. I was intrigued by his Skrillex-esque hairdo, his edgy punk-rock vibe, and his surprisingly melodic electro-house sound. Whether he’s rocking a mass of festival-goers or 400 smashed college kids, the Estonian producer knows how to amp up an audience. His latest track, “Taito,” combines that signature intricate synth-work with his bass-heavy breakdowns but adds a refreshing dose of groovy bass to the mix.
