Continuing to pioneer the music world, Moby is now conjoining that venture with the world of film and video. In an innovative move, Moby launched his website www.mobygratis.com four years ago to make his work readily available to film and video makers. He recently re-launched the site with 150 additions that are free for non-commercial productions. For commercial productions a licensing fee will be set up that is donated to the Humane Society. The charitable innovator will see his work used in a number of new ways, and hopefully, set a new precedent for the union between music and film producers. All you aspiring directors out there, who would like it use “Porcelain” or “Extreme Ways” to bring life to your film for free?
