Washington, D.C.-based DJ-producer Manila Killa is kicking 2015 off with a bang. He just released a remix of Bearson's "Pink Medicine" that shows why he's set for a major breakthrough this year.

After a peaceful, Odesza-like intro, the remix segues into upbeat synths and future bass elements, giving Bearson's tune a refreshing new sound. It's sound balances for a relaxing listening experience while bringing the energy that would be thoroughly enjoyable in a live setting. The track has already garnered over 70K plays on Soundcloud, while currently climbing up the HypeM charts. What's more is the track is available for free download.

Bringing this kind of unique, uplifting vibe is something Manila Killa has made a habit of. Tegan & Sara's "Walking With A Ghost," Dawn Golden's "All I Want," and Lana Del Rey's "Blue Jeans" are just a couple of tracks that he's put his original spin on. Aside from his own solo work, Manila Killa makes up one half of the duo, Hotel Garuda, and is also a member of the Moving Castle collective, a group of young producers who are currently establishing their own brand of electronic music in the scene. Keep an eye on this group of bubbling artists in 2015.

Both Manila Killa and Bearson's respective labels Moving Castle and Next Wave Records have been combining on more than just tracks lately. Most recently, the two labels hosted a sold out music showcase at Los Angeles' Sound Nightclub featuring performances from up-and-comers SNBRN, Tony Fresch, Hotel Garuda, The Interns, Matt DiMona and RAMBO V.
