We’ve come to expect nothing short of brilliance from the buzzing house maestro Kolsch after last year’s Balance Presents: Kolsch mix took the world by storm. A true veteran in the dance music scene, he has witnessed the culture evolve and has been a major player in the world of progressive techno and house. There is a distinct melodic aspect to his music fused with hard hitting rhythms that will liven up any dancefloor with euphoric and etherial qualities. As the year carries on we’ve been seeing a lot more of Kolsch popping up on major releases from labels like Armada Music, Kompakt and Tenor Recordings that have all been met with critical acclaim. Now, we’ve been graced with two stellar remixes of recently released tracks that follow suite with the Kolsch sound.

Shared as a special double world premier on Pete Tong’s BBC Radio 1 Essential Selection show, Kolsch delivers two masterful remixes of Eric Prydz hit track "Generate" and Joris Voorn’s spacey ballad "The Monk." Clever, stylish and masterfully protracted, Kölsch tones down the vocal, stripping the pop elements of Prydz’s cut and seducing it down into the darker depths of peak-time, eyes-closed elation. On the Voorn remix he completely transforms the original into a dance-ready number by bringing the pulsating percussive and synth elements to the fore and playing with the enchanted melody to create a high energy techno anthem.

Just weeks away from his highly anticipated second studio album, Kolsch has captivated fans with these two standout remixes. Be sure to grab the album, titled 1983, upon it’s expected release June 8th. Check back with us for more info coming soon.
