EDM is no passing fad... it is a global ecosystem, which has reached bewildering proportions. The proof is in the numbers: The first Electric Daisy Carnival took place in 1997 at the Shrine Auditorium in LA – 4,000 people attended. Fast-forward 16 years, and EDC is one of the largest electronic music dance festivals in North America.

EDC 2012 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway is expecting a sell-out crowd of more than 300,000 over three days, complete with elaborate productions and world-class electronic acts, including David Guetta, Tiësto, Kaskade, Avicii, Afrojack, Benny Benassi, Bassnectar, and so many others.

The dance music fiends behind Insomniac are stepping it up this year with "EDMbiz" - two days of progressive, insightful, and entertaining panels, keynotes, and presentations with the top managers, agents, promoters, artists, labels, publishers, producers, advertising agencies, brand execs, and technology platforms in EDM, along with three nights of exclusive Insomniac nightclub and pool parties.

Speakers will include SHM’s Steve Angello, Eddie Dean of Pacha NYC, Insomniac’s Pasquale Rotella, MSO’s VP Alexandra Greenberg, Richie Hawtin, Kaskade, AM Only’s Paul Morris, Ultra Records president and found Patrick Moxey—and the list goes on and on…

Don’t miss Elektro Magazine’s very own Zev Norotsky, who will be joining the esteemed panel of EDM influencers.

“I am so completely humbled to be included alongside such an impressive list of luminaries in the EDM community,” says Norotsky. “I hope to make the most of this amazing conference and am extremely proud to represent the entire elektro family out in Vegas during EDC!"
