One of the world's most renowned clubs, London's Ministry of Sound, will not face closure after all. The city was looking to build a 41 story apartment building just 30 feet away from the club's doorstep. The concern was that the music from the club would provoke too many complaints from tenants and the iconic club would have to shut its doors.

The Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, intervened and Ministry of Sound and apartment building developers came to an agreement that will protect the club. Needless to say, the folks at Ministry of Sound are elated by the news:

"That’s all we ever wanted in the first place – and finally that’s what we’ve achieved. It’s taken five long years, but we vowed to keep fighting until we’d secured our future. It was that simple."
