Icona Pop “Good For You”

The name ‘Icona Pop’ says it all for this Swedish-based electro-pop twosome. Their latest release, “Good For You,” sparkles and bubbles with all the sugary sweetness of Cherry Coke and bubblegum. Whether or not pop is their thing, listeners will probably find something infectious about this almost-indie-dance, feel-good, I-just-wanna-dance track. Members Caroline Hjelt and Aino Jawo showcase vocals as lovely as they are—childishly delicate and endearingly pleading while surprisingly edgy at the same time. We don’t know how they managed to merge these two contrasts so effortlessly but it comes through like a Sour Patch Kid—sweet, sour, and absolutely delicious.
