Hudson Mohawke has already unveiled two tracks from his forthcoming album Lantern — the widely remixed lead single "Very First Breath" featuring Breakbot collaborator Irfane, and the soul-inspired hip-hop track "Ryderz." Now he has unveiled another track from the much-anticipated album.

"Scud Books" marked one of three new tracks off Lantern that he premiered in a "Hudson Mohawke Album Special" on BBC Radio 1 last night (May 20) — the other two tracks being "Kettles" and "Indian Steps." Following the special, HudMo released the above video containing the audio of "Scud Books." The track supplies an uplifting synth melody mixed with the kind of powerful brass sections that have defined his sound. Hudson Mohawke once again shows off his fine production and unique sound, resulting in what very well may become an anthem for the Glasgow producer.

This track is yet another reason fans should have Lantern‘s official release date of June 16 circled on their calendars. Having established himself as one of the most sought after producers in the world, most notably lending his studio skills to Kanye West, this album is sure to be his greatest work to date. With Lantern also containing collaborations alongside Miguel and Jhené Aiko, you can expect the LP to be in the running for album of the year in the hip-hop and electronic worlds. Check out the track listing for Lantern below and pre-order the release on iTunes. When you pre-order the album, you'll instantly receive the tracks "Very First Breath," "Ryderz" and "Scud Books."
