Italian born, London-based producer, His Majesty Andre, has just released his newest EP, "Hymn". This brand new release contains the EP's title track, another original piece titled "Paintings", as well as "Hymn" remixes from Mickey, Sona Vabos, and Elisa Bee Velvet. The original mix of "Hymn" presents a soulful, dancey beat that combines new and old dance music sounds. His Majesty Andre describes it as “halfway between my old style and something new, driving my love for samples to a new place, where the structure is more developed and the feel is of a proper banging track”. He switches from the upbeat feel of "Hymn" to a slower tempo with the electro track "Paintings", which supplies a bass-driven style similar to that of A-Trak's, yet presents His Majesty Andre's original sound. Mickey's remix of "Hymn" takes a page out of Fatboy Slim's playbook, laying down an uplifting piano riff and keeping its dancey beat, which is reminiscent of tracks like "Praise You". Sona Vabos brings a more electro-house styling to "Hymn", with its heavy electronic orientation that brings a futuristic sound with synth and numerous electronic effects. Elisa Bee Velvet's reworking of the track takes the trap route, with hip-hop sounding vocal cuts and high-hats, and steady claps. The upbeat trap remix's scratchy breakdown adds to its hip-hop feel. His Majesty Andre's EP, "Hymn", is a must-have for eclectic dance music fans, as it brings us two new amazing tracks by the producer himself, as well as three remixes that touch different corners of electronic music. His Majesty Andre's EP "Hymn" is available now as a release of Southern Fried Records.
