Governor's Island has been impressing and pleasing the masses with their summer events this year, and they're not quite done with their job just yet. This Friday, MATTE Projects is taking over to bring New York City music lovers together to celebrate the power of the moon, again, on the sand with Full Moon Fest.

Preparing for its fourth annual celebration, the melodic festival that's inspired by the mythical power of our beloved moon and Thailand's full moon/parties has been shedding some light on what guests should be expecting this year. Full Moon 2014 will be capturing the summer with art, food, and a carefully curated lineup including Le Youth, Wave Racer, The Knocks, Claptone, and Chela. With genres ranging from Indie/Folk to Disco, this one-day festival will be the perfect back drop for some serious summer lovin'.

Last year's festival brought together a crowd of over 4,500 fashionable and creative individuals that were ready to enjoy an evening of diversity, and this year's is sure to bring the same if not better. The 21+ festival partnered with some incredible people including Neon Gold, ABSOLUT., Perrier, and Feel Food to provide us all with not only quality music, but also top notch food, beverages and atmosphere to give off a holistic experience for those freaks that like to come out at night.

Grab your tickets before they're gone and get ready to bring in August's full moon with the festival that's dedicated to exactly that. Check out photos from last year's Full Moon Fest below.
