Flux Pavilion’s new eight-track EP "Blow The Roof Off," out worldwide today and available for preview on soundcloud now, is a heavy little adventure. It kicks off with the bass-heavy "OneTwoThree (Make Your Body Wanna)," which makes sure to get the crowd moving from the get-go with steady build-ups that leave you begging for the up-tempo beats that come after each drop. The lyrics that follow in "The Scientist," though simple, taps into a certain sense of longing and rebellion in between the bass, as he explains he “still want[s] to be a spaceman” and “explore distant lands." The title track lives up to its name and then some. It’s essentially four minutes and eight seconds of non-stop energy and attitude that leaves you wanting to blow off a few roofs yourself. Flux’s collaboration with young rap phenomenon, Childish Gambino, delivers a smooth combination of Gambino’s slick rhyme and his own bass-heavy sounds. The EP’s ethereal closing track “Starlight” leaves you feeling like you’re up in the clouds after a nice dose of Flux Pavilion’s consistent energy and bass.
