The Chicago house legend continues his blissful return to our bass-hungry ears this summer, having just announced a boatload of info on new music and gig. Felix Da Housecat returns to warm up your summer with the wonderfully bizarre “I Just Want to Be a Lesbian." Featuring mystifying vocals by Romina Cohn, the track, like most of Felix’s catalogue, has an interesting story behind it. After meeting Romina, da Housecat heard and misunderstood the lyrics to her song “I Just Want to be The Residents”. After the confusion and laughs settled down, what remained was this hell of a banger. The track runs over six minutes and it’s throbbing monotone bass carries the slow-burning track through your speakers and into your mind and body. The ticking of tribal percussion in the background prepares you for the big snare that follows, forcing your body to surrender and slowly melt along with the song.

The release will also come with bombastic remixes by Felix da Housecat himself, a techno heavy “Thee Loverz Raw Cut” and more bouncy tech house twist under his legendary Aphrohead alias. Other sure-to-be-mind-blowing remixes come courtesy of Riton, Cloud, Human Life, and Eagles &Butterflies. The huge package of music overload will be released in two part (May 27th and June 10th) to allow you time to physically digest the enveloping fire the tracks will provide. Check out a teaser below! All this musical overload comes with the official news of Felix’s weekly residency at Space Ibiza’s new night, ensuring you’ll be seeing Housecats as you dance your summer nights away.
