Her voice is stunning on its own, but DJ and producer Xilent has taken Ellie Goulding's jewel "Figure 8" and turned it into a whomping and chilling atmospheric soundscape. The UK-based DJ and producer has made a name for himself in dub step, drum & bass, and electro house, but we love him for his ability to unite gorgeous melodies with face-melting bass drops. This is a throttling track that we can still proudly call real music, and we just love the way the beat speeds up frenetically before falling away to make room for Goulding's vocals and a stunning cascade of trance-like synths. Hats off to Xilent for giving us such a beautiful tune.
