Another night out, another dance floor – this weekend, elektro teamed up with Electric Beach presented by our friends at Corona Light, and Santos Party House for another neon-clad Saturday night affair. Electric Beach and Santos have really been stepping up their game as far as talent these days. This time around, the Saturday night hotspot welcomed French progressive house connoisseur, Sebastien Drums to its booth to spin the night away. The producer is best known for his 2010 mega hit "My Feelings for You," produced by some dude named Avicii. Joining Drums was Chad Stark, (not related to Ned or Arya ¬– Game of Thrones anyone?) who is relatively new to the DJ circuit, but his mixing skills has led him to open for big names like Tiësto and Martin Solveig, as well as close for Dada Life and Thomas Gold.

“Feel-good electro house” just about sums up the night, but here’s a glimpse of what went down. When we arrived at the scene, Stark had partygoers warming up to his energetic, euphoric beats, playing Tommy Trash’s remix of “The Veldt” and “In the Air” by Morgan Page and Sultan + Ned Shepard. Closing out his set, he played a great intro for Sebastien with Samuel Sartini and Amanda Wilson’s “Love U Seek” (predecessor to “Bromance”), mixed with Tiësto's catchy “I Will Be Here”.

The volume increased exponentially, signaling it was time for the party to really begin. Bottles were being popped and the Corona Lights were flowing steadily. Armed with glow wands, glow sticks, and official Electric Beach wristbands, we were ready to lose ourselves in musical bliss for a couple of hours. Sebastien opened with his collab with Avicii “My Feelings For You”, infused with “Tung”, sending the pit into a tailspin. He began throwing down an eclectic mix of some progressive and a more mainstream sound. While most people seemed to be there just to dance and have a good time, Sebastien had even EDM loyalists going ballistic to Shinedown’s “Unity” (Maitesse and Sadako radio edit) and Tony Romera’s “Public Enemy” (Dbn edit). He played his most recent release, “Here I Come” with Whelan Di Scala (Swedish House even dropped it in their Tomorrowland set). Refreshingly cool smoke pummeled the dance floor as Sebastien kept the party going late into the night with his relentless beats.
