Although it seems inconceivable, Deadmau5 will make history by being the first Canadian artist to headline Toronto’s Rogers Centre on November 5th. That’s right, he’s the first Canadian to headline the Canadian venue, which has previously hosted non-nationals including U2, the Rolling Stones and Coldplay. Mr. Zimmerman’s hometown show sets dual records, as he will also be the first electronic artist to headline the 50,000-seat stadium. The concert’s first 25 minutes will stream simultaneously on live.deadmau5.com and on YouTube beginning at 12 midnight EST/9 PM PST. The show will also be filmed for a forthcoming DVD release.

This Toronto spectacle marks the final fall date of Deadmau5’ largely sold out Meowington Hax tour, which resumes on December 1 in Cape Town, South Africa. In the meantime get your mau5 fix via “Aural Psynapse” the seven-minute synth dream Deadmau5 has incorporated into most of his live performances during the past several weeks. The track is available exclusively on iTunes, where it debuted at #7 on the dance single chart today.
