Hip-hop smash single "No Lie" by 2 Chainz and Drake gets a unique twist from Norwegian producer Cashmere Cat. What this Oslo-based producer brings is a style unlike any other, taking the hip-hop track and transforming it into an eerie form of electronic music. What sounds like a lighter, more progressive example of trap music, supplies ambient and electronic effects, low subtle basslines, and tapping percussion, which sounds like someone playing drum sticks on a table. Cashmere Cat's reworking of "No Lie" completely changes the track's sound, whereas if not for the vocal cuts used in the edit, the 2 Chainz/Drake single would be entirely unrecognizable. Cashmere Cat also presents us with a brand new style, and a breath of fresh air for electronic music. Cashmere Cat's Edit of "No Lie" will be featured on his upcoming EP "Mirror Maru", set to be released on October 22nd.
