Throughout his time in the scene, Boys Noize has maintained a reputation as a tastemaker and an innovator. With his label, Boysnoize Records, he has hand-picked some of his favorite talent, forming a collective of some of the best names in techno and electro. As the label celebrates its decade anniversary, they have embarked on a tour that showcases some of the label's talent and friends. One of the names joining them on the tour is label newcomer Pilo, marking his first world tour ever, just as he is fresh off the release of his Sentimental Schematics EP on the Boys Noize-fronted label. Now, he's teamed up with Boys Noize himself on the latest project that further cements his legacy as one of dance music's most innovative artists.

Their new collaboration "Cerebral" is the first track off Boys Noize's forthcoming album Strictly Raw Vol. 1. The track was created using only one drum machine and no more than a few synths — the same combination used to create the entire album. Boys Noize talks about the album's concept on the Soundcloud page for "Cerebral," saying, "The idea of the Strictly Raw Vol 1. release is to take 1 drumachine + 1 or 2 synths and make a track with it. Over the last years friends came in and out of my studio and sometimes we end up jaming on my machines. Since it’s #BNR10YR I wanted to collect the good ones and put them all together and there is some serious magic going on :) As a DJ you always look out for these timeless house or techno music and here are 9 tracks that go from breaks to techno to acid to classic house, all analog, all strictly raw."

Strictly Raw Vol. 1 is out May 29, and will also be available in vinyl. Check out "Cerebral" above, and see where you can catch Boys Noize and crew on the #BNR10YR Anniversary Tour below.
