From Slaughterhouse production credits and an Under Armour commercial with Cam Newton all the way to EDC Las Vegas, AraabMuzik is playing for keeps. A recent victim of an attempted chain snatching unfortunately left the producer in a hospital bed with serious but non-fatal gun shot wounds. Not to worry, the MVP of the MPC turned to social media, posting photos of himself producing at his hospital bed with the hashtag "#NoExcuses."

Production that likely contributed to his latest release, available on iTunes today, entitled “The Remixes, Vol. 1” (purchase here) – Araab, whose distinct style lends itself to reworking songs and amplifying them to the next level, shines brighter than ever on the new project. We hit the track running with the massive sounds emanating from Sierra Leone (originally by Mt. Eden), with its sweeping electronic gates right off the bat makes it apparent- Araab is not afraid to blend genre’s and create sounds the listener doesn’t “expect.” Followed by the borderline D&B chorus on Araab’s remix to “Cudi the Kid” (originally by Aoki, Kid Cudi, & Travis Barker), if you were looking for a laid back electronic/remix album, you’ve come to the wrong place.

Aside from the two aforementioned remixes, we feel the 2 original productions on the album, “Keep In Motion” as well as “Darkside,” are the strongest pieces of work on the project. AraabMuzik is starting to hone his unique sound that finds him effortlessly blending hip-hop & EDM influences- all brought together seamlessly by his MPC. “The Remixes, Vol. 1” leaves a thirst for more, whether its more remixes, original productions, or just the thought of AraabMuzik smashing down on his MPC and blending these new works into upcoming sets. If you have an opportunity to see the man perform live DO NOT pass it up. He's a true sight to see; the hardest button pusher in the game.
