EDM has pushed endless boundaries in the fields of music and technology, and cosmopolitan composer Amon Tobin serves as a prime example with the recent lease of a new limited-edition box set, crammed with early audio experiments, film and television scores, dubplates, live bootleg recording and other rarities, becoming a time capsule of the musician’s evolution in sound and creativity.

“I’ve just found more and more ways to explore,” Tobin told Wired in an email interview. “It’s primarily a fascination with reorganizing existing material. From sitting with a tape recorder as a kid to now transposing characteristics of one instrument to another, I feel like my creative input has always been rooted in how I manipulated the world around me.”

Released this week by Ninja Tune, the archival box set includes seven CDs, six vinyl 10-inches, two DVDs and several posters. Of course, all of this doesn’t come cheap, retailing at roughly $170 on NinjaShop.
